Notary Blog: Affidavit of Residence | White Horse Quiktrip

It’s a mad dash to Tuesday here in Greenville County for many parents, including myself. Getting residency paperwork signed for your children shouldn’t be one of the issues getting in your way of enrolling your children in school.

The countdown has begun, and as time approaches, its important to have everything in line so that your child can start school on Tuesday (that’s if your child will attend Greenville County Schools).  Affidavit of Residence Forms can be usually found at your child’s school.  If you cannot find one at your child’s school, there may be other area schools that carry them.  Here at GreenvilleNotary.com, we can provide you with a Jurat/Affiant Statement in which you can complete your OWN statement as to the residency of a child or children at your home.

A word to residents, as I stated in my previous post regarding the Affidavit of Residence, the parent or legal guardian’s signature is not the signature that needs to notarized on the form. It is the signature of the person who owns or leases the residence that needs notarization.

This notary act occurred at Quiktrip, 6050 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29611, by State of South Carolina Notary Public Sonita M. Leak.
