Notary Blog: Verification Venture with VerifyI9 Begins Today

As per our normal operations, it has been quite a ride being able to authorize I9 forms on behalf of various companies, whether the I-9 Authorizations have been on paper or else, online.

For the first time in GreenvilleNotary.com history, we’ve signed on as a vendor to VerifyI9.  As per their website:

“U.S. law requires companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the United States. Since 1986, employers have been required to complete Form I-9 for every new hire. That process includes reviewing documents that show the new hire’s identity and employment eligibility.

handshakeThe 1986 law also created an Internet-based system that gives employers a way to check their new hires against government databases. Formerly known as the “Basic Pilot Program,” E-Verify is the best way to ensure a legal workforce.”

So with that said, we are happy to announce our FIRST ever assignment with VerifyI9, conducted at an Anderson, South Carolina McDonald’s for an unnamed company’s remote independent contractor.

Thank you VerifyI9 for seeking out our notary service to assist you with your remote signers’ needs.
