Two local parties came to meet for a Residential Lease Agreement on the afternoon of October 22, 2015. Both signers were not available to sign the document until after 5pm due to work obligations.
Due to the privacy of the signing, no further details will be included in this post, HOWEVER, a question asked by one of the parties was a pertinent one. The question asked was, “Does this have to be notarized?” It was a very good question. Most rental or lease agreements are not notarized, and although it is not a requirement, some rental agencies, property management companies and lessors (those who are renting out the property) will want a document to be notarized as an extra verification of identity fail-safe.
Thanks for asking! Should you need to have a signature notarized, call GreenvilleNotary.com at 864.214.6447, where we specialize in early and after-hours service.
Notary work was performed by Certified Notary Public Signing Agent Sonita M. Leak.
