Notary for Premises Liability Case Paperwork Delivery, Third Party Translation, No Notarization Needed

An assignment on behalf of BANAFSHEH, DANESH & JAVID, PC., A Personal Injury and Accident Professional Law Corporation occurred on the evening of Monday, April 13, 2015 for a local resident of Easley, South Carolina.  Documents were sent to Certified Notary Public Signing Agent Sonita M. Leak to deliver to the injured, as he was in no condition to handle the affair himself.  Due to the situation, a translation also occurred, as the signer only spoke Spanish, therefore a resident of Greenville, South Carolina assisted in providing translation services from English to Spanish and vice versa.

Some may immediately want to say, “You can’t do that in South Carolina!” It is illegal to notarize a document in the State of South Carolina when it is written in a different language.  One of the reasons why it is deemed illegal is to prevent fraud.  For more information or to review the law, please visit the South Carolina Notary Public Manual found on the South Carolina Secretary of State’s Website.
