Notary Blog – “There are parties out there that will promise you that you can have your named changed. Just give them $1500 and you’re all set. It really doesn’t take all that.”
Some Notaries are unfamiliar with the process altogether. There are a handful of us that know that the form should NOT BE STAMPED. Some forms come with Attestation forms or other acknowledgment forms for that very reason.
This is a Blog Digest of all assignments conducted from Sunday, March 6, 2017 until Saturday, March 11, 2017.
Since I hung out, basically, ALL DAY in the Downtown, Greenville area, you’d wonder why this post is featuring the great seal of Anderson County, South Carolina.
Property Documents, Notary Application and a Limited Power of Attorney. What a whirlwind! While one signing was scheduled at the Zaxby’s located at 824 S. Church Street, Greenville, SC 29601, the second signing was scheduled for another location near White Horse Road earlier in the morning. The last signing, well, the last signing was a pop-up from out of the blue.
Just so you know, most bank notaries and even choice other notaries in public offices that have not completed Signing Agent training for out-of-state documents are not aware of some of the Interstate laws; they may not complete a signing correctly. You can be assured that here at GreenvilleNotary.com, we have many years of training to ensure that the entire document process is taken care of.

What do we mean by ‘no harm’?
This means it doesn’t hurt to call a service that you prefer over and over and over and over again, especially if they get it right the first, the second and of course continue to do so each and every time. This is not to say that any of us are perfect, but when you specialize in Customer Service, you have to do things in a timely, efficient and customer-friendly way.
I am looking to feature you. This has been quite a journey, none that would be accomplished without you, my fabulous Brides and Grooms!
The Plan: To have at least one couple featured on WeddingsbySonita.com each and every day of the year.
What else? Have a business? You know I will feature that too, as I am one for supporting local business (which I’m really passionate about).
A signing originally set to take place at Coffee Underground was uprooted due to traffic from the pageant that took place over the weekend. Although we attempt to keep our signings as private as possible, we had no choice but to take this one outside. Today’s document process involved four individuals, with assistance from two
Not knowing that the form required the notarization of only the caller’s spouse’s signature, a trip was made to Eggs Up Grill, 31 Augusta St, Greenville, SC 29601 to complete the signing, but lo and behold, after the notary left the pair, the signing was still incomplete.
On the evening of November 4, 2016, a caller rang into GreenvilleNotary.com’s lines at 5:36 p.m. and by 5:46 p.m. the Notary was by his side signing a Form DS-3053: Statement of Consent – Issuing a Passport to a Minor Under Age 16. Not only did the signer need to sign the form before a
On the steps of M. Judson Booksellers, a handwritten letter and a typewritten letter were signed by two separate local parties, jurat/acknowledgment forms were completed for each, and signatures were notarized by a notary before attending a private event signing at the Westin Poinsett, Downtown Greenville. Talk about fast signing, the transaction had to be
Evening notary service shouldn’t be a hassle to accomplish; not one bit. A local party who needed a Very Important Document expedited met with us here at GreenvilleNotary.com, late evening to Coffee Underground, 1 East Coffee Street, Greenville, South Carolina 29601. It helps quite a bit to know that a particular service will be available
“It’s always a pleasure to take care of customers in their exigent time of need. It is especially a pleasure to be able to assist repeat customers with their circumstances.” When a customer calls you back for return business it’s because of one reason, they were pleased with the service you previously provided to them.
“Couples call into GreenvilleNotary.com regularly to inquire about our Marriage Service.” This is quite alright with us. Call all you want. A quick decision was made of a couple who’d called us previously to inquire about the process. Not yet having their Marriage License and Certificate paperwork in hand, they informed us last week that
So what do you do when two parties who have mutually agreed to ‘something’, agreed to that ‘something’ on a particular date but didn’t have a required Notary’s signature, stamp or seal affixed to the statement nor an acknowledgment attached? Well, they did want the same agreed date and document as their original, they just
If you have traveled into the Marriage License Division office lately, you will have noticed a slight change in the way business is handled. In the past, whereas you had a paper log-in process, the process is now computer-assisted. What does the Marriage Division hope will happen from this new system of record-keeping? It means
While working on several posts (including the previous post), the notary line rang for a local 29601 customer. It just so happens that the notary was in 29601 at the time. Not only on Saturdays are some of the morning coffee shops open, but also during the Summertime there are festivals, fairs and market activities
“Call 864.214.6447 to get your document or documentzzzzzz notarized, we’ll leave the light on.” A private document signing occurred on the evening of Thursday, April 28, 2016. Thank you to the notary who referred this party to our service, we greatly appreciate you. Calling GreenvilleNotary.com at the Eleventh Hour? We can’t be mad, it’s what
In the midst of preparing for a ‘Beer and Napkins‘ event in Mauldin, SC, Co-Founder and Head Idea Bartender, Phil McCreight sought a notary public to assist with the signing and notarization of some pretty important paperwork for his business. Fearing that he would not find a notary to fit in between his tight schedule,
Thanks to the always cordial staff at OJs Diner, which makes an EXCELLENT neighborhood setting for a signing by the way; a simple and private Scan Capture & Fax transaction took place. The transaction occurred on the afternoon of March 29, 2016. We love the down-home feel of the people we meet at OJ’s Diner. The food? Nothing short of wholesome,
“Weekend service, even LATE!” A late Sunday evening signing went down at Starbucks 550 Main St., Suite 101, Greenville, South Carolina 29601. It’s a pleasure to be able to serve our Greenville Community At Large, it’s even more of a pleasure to serve them at their convenience. The signer called into the notary line earlier
Congratulations to the couple, married on last night in the center of the circle of Falls Park on the Reedy, just at Tate Plaza, across from the Passerelle Bistro Restaurant. Originally meeting Wedding and Marriage Officiant Sonita Leak at Spill the Beans, because of the large crowd inside, their nuptials were performed outside, just as the
Two separate parties arrived together to have two separate forms of theirs signed in front of a notary and notarized. With witnesses in tow, the parties met with GreenvilleNotary.com Owner and Certified Notary Public Signing Agent Sonita M. Leak late evening on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. Thanks to the friendly and boisterous staff at our
A local resident close to Woodruff Road in Greenville searched high and low for a notary on Sunday, Valentine’s Day no less. What notary service was open and available? GreenvilleNotary.com, of course! Although it was a very busy day for couples, it is just as important for us to be available for those needing signatures
So who’s got cabin fever still? Not Notary Public Sonita M. Leak and family. We finally made it out of the cocoon of the sheltered home to venture out into the streets of Greenville, South Carolina. Our streets. And with getting out and about, you know we had to venture. It’s great to see just
It was a snowy few hours in Greenville, South Carolina and during that time, a client’s dream of receiving notary service was realized. The signer who appeared before the notary previously had another notary public for the state stamp original documentation. This is a NO NO! It is illegal as a State of South Carolina
Yes, I perform marriages. The couple called in at 6:35pm and by 7:35pm, the couple, along with mother and father of one of the parties in tow, were meeting me in Downtown Greenville. It’s lovely to be able to marry a couple in the middle of the day, but even better to be available to marry
A signer who needed notary service specific to today called in on yesterday, December 9, 2015 to set up her appointment. Here at GreenvilleNotary.com, we love appointments. Thanks to waitress Tiffany for her awesome service; we had an excellent signing and dining experience at the Downtown Greenville Carolina Ale House Location. Rest assured, when privacy counts, GreenvilleNotary.com is at your service. It took us 5 hours in total to assist a transient resident of Greenville who normally works all over the world. Unfortunately the contents of the signing are private, however, we can tell you that the customer did not leave our hands dissatisfied! The entire operation included receiving the email of a private document, re-ordering
Biking is a passion for the GreenvilleNotary.com family. Biking keeps you physically fit, prevents diseases caused by obesity by preventing obesity, in some cases, altogether. In support of local business owner Robin Bylenga and her bicycle shop, which by the way is ALWAYS in the news, a multiple document signing occurred ON LOCATION for a repeat customer
Forgetting that the shipping outlet where she normally had documents notarized was closed after she departed from work, a Belton, South Carolina resident went searching for an after hours notary public and ran into GreenvilleNotary.com. Our third signing of the day was realized at the Downtown/ West End Starbucks, 5550 South Main Street, Suite 101, Greenville, South Carolina 29601. The call for a notary came into the notary lines at approximately 11:40am. We’re guessing that the signer was mighty close to our then current location. The signer needed to have a State of Georgia, Department of Corrections Significant Relations Visitor Form notarized. The form, previously signed by the signer was accompanied by a Jurat
The signing and follow-up signature notarization for a Private Document was realized at Coffee Underground. Why? It was concerning Coffee Underground! We’ve touted the venue for being a great place to perform notary work because of it’s calm, serene and wildly OUTLET-LADDEN-ness (Yes, we realize that’s not a word). However, sometimes, venues like these need
A local couple was married near a stream of Falls Park on the Reedy, right under the Liberty Bridge on the evening of Friday, October 23, 2015. Eager to have their vows completed and in the books before their reception date next month, the Bride and Groom confessed their undying love, honor and trust to
The signers (Principal and Attorney-in-Fact, husband and wife) called into GreenvilleNotary.com at 2:45pm on Sunday, October 18, 2015. By 3:10pm, the signers were having their document taken care of. Thank you to the STB Downtown employee who assisted with witnessing the document signers pen their signature. Sometimes, just sometimes, there is a need for notary

A local resident needing a Durable Power of Attorney signed so that someone else could act on their behalf followed-up on their request from last week, today. Because of the signer’s schedule, finding a notary during the hours when they were available was proving difficult. A return call to GreenvillNotary.com took place early afternoon, and the new customer
The calls just keep rolling in to the GreenvilleNotary.com lines! Wow, notarization #4, but officially #13 occurred in the late afternoon of Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Spill the Beans coffeehouse on behalf of a Simpsonville, South Carolina resident. Due to the nature of the signing, we’ll just say that this particular document was vehicle/driving-related
A short and sweet elopement ceremony was conducted near the end of Liberty Bridge at Falls Park on the Reedy River in Downtown Greenville, South Carolina this evening. Originally set for Friday, August 28th, the couple who wanted a small service first had to successfully retain their three (3) copies of license and certification through the Probate
A local couple called late Monday evening for documents that needed to be signed same-day. Turns out the batch of documents was the seller-side of a State of North Carolina transaction. So there are these little things called apps that make a blogger’s life much easier. Today was the day where our ClickDesk chat interface and WordPress for Android really came in handy. It’s the weekend and the kids want to play, so, does business stop there? Oh but no, we’re an all hours of the
I feel a little like Byron McElderry on “All Worked Up!” Completed GreenvilleNotary.com’s first ever Process Service and it felt, well, it, it, felt kinda gooood. 😉 No guns, no bumps, no bruises and no getting chased. Walked right up to the door, knocked, handed the appropriate subject the paperwork and said, “You’ve been served.” No expletives
