Notary Blog: Three-in-One at Zaxby’s | Greenville County Square

Property Documents, Notary Application and a Limited Power of Attorney. What a whirlwind! While one signing was scheduled at the Zaxby’s located at 824 S. Church Street, Greenville, SC 29601, the second signing was scheduled for another location near White Horse Road earlier in the morning. The last signing, well, the last signing was a pop-up from out of the blue.

Notary Blog: Two New Residents at Haywood Mall

Often, I receive emails from different people regarding what we CAN and CANNOT do as Notaries Public here in South Carolina. As it is a given, we are not attorneys, however, as a Notary Public Signing Agent, companies rely on me to complete additional duties that are NOT synonymous with being an attorney. Some question whether we work in the capacity of a….

Notary Look-Back: November 2015 Holiday Grief Seminar

My initial intention in attending the seminar was to gain some insight into what clients and families of the clients I served dealt with on a daily basis with the grief over the loss of a loved one.  Not once in the days leading up to the seminar did I think, “How would this seminar relate to my

Notary Blog: VALIC Form at The Cascades Verdae

Quite often when a party requests a cash-out of an IRA, 401K or some type of other investment, if said person is married, they must get a Spousal Consent Form signed by that spouse and the signature must be notarized. We’ll call the form VALIC for short, however, VALIC actually stands for Variable Annuity Life Insurance

Pro Bono Notary for Mother/Son: Greenville, SC

Sometimes we give a lot of ourselves.  Sometimes we give of ourselves not knowing if we’ll receive anything in return.  Tonight, I experienced that. We are put in the middle of certain situations for a reason.  In one way today, GreenvilleNotary.com was victorious.  Nothing was found wrong with the work performed from a time period

Need SC Notary Law? Reference SCSOS.com

I get posed the questions a lot, “How do I become a Notary Public?” Also, “How do I know what we’re doing today is a valid notarial act?” It’s easy to say in reply, “Consult your attorney.” Buuuuuut, did you know that there is a COMPLETE State of South Carolina Notary Public Manual easily accessible by visiting

Notary Blog: Second Visit to the Haven

A very complex, private assignment was carried out at this location on the afternoon of Friday, December 23, 2016. The assignment was assisted by Antron Holden, Sr., a student and mentee of GreenvilleNotary.com Owner Sonita M. Leak. Antron is the CEO and Owner of AikenNotary.com, based out of Aiken, South Carolina. Mr. Holden acted as witness during the transactions.

Notary Blog: Boarding, But Wait!

The frantic search was on for a Notary Public for a local resident.  The reason being?  A flight out-of-country was imminent for one of a pair of flyers.  Not wanting to miss their very important flight, the parties called on our services to assist them with their document. On the morning of Friday, December 22,

Merry Christmas from the Notary and Family

We want to reach out to our friends, family members, customers and clients of GreenvilleNotary.com to pray you all a Merry Christmas. My family would not be the family we are without LOVE and lots of PRAYER, (yes, sometimes we all get on each other’s nerves), but what is a ‘perfect’ family.  I dedicate this

Notary Blog: Repeat Signer at Hughes

Notary on the road and you need something notarized? Not a problem. Well, usually. A signing occurred close to Noon on Monday, December 19, 2016. The signer was a Repeat Customer of GreenvilleNotary.com and was about to leave his location of the Hughes Main Library by Noon. If he missed his chance to get the document signed, the result would have been absolutely no good.

Notary Blog: The Tale of Two Vehicles

Although we at GreenvilleNotary.com are not attorneys, it is HIGHLY IMPORTANT to make sure you’ve covered your bases when conducting Interstate (state-to-state) transactions. Because North Carolina vehicle registration and titling facilities require notarization of the seller’s signature, it’s best that if you are conducting any type of interstate deal, that you have the signature of the seller notarized before the title leaves their hands.

Notary Blog: 102-Page Buyers’ Package in 29601

Just so you know, most bank notaries and even choice other notaries in public offices that have not completed Signing Agent training for out-of-state documents are not aware of some of the Interstate laws; they may not complete a signing correctly. You can be assured that here at GreenvilleNotary.com, we have many years of training to ensure that the entire document process is taken care of.

Notary Blog:  Twice As Nice at FedEx

GreenvilleNotary.com received a phone call earlier in the day and completed a signing at FedEx a short time earlier. The Notary was immediately wisked away to an Elopement ceremony at Century Park in Greer, SC. Lo and behold, as soon as the Wedding ceremony was performed at Century Park, on the way back from the performance, a local

Notary Blog: Call by 11, There by 12

While visiting their loved one, who made an unexpected trip to the Greenville Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, then up to the Heart Institute Intensive Care Unit, one of a patient’s relatives made a call to GreenvilleNotary.com. While the Notary Public was on the way to take care of another situation, information was provided via text to get to the signers in urgent need of assistance.

Notary Blog: Traveling Signer? No Problem!

A signing originally set to take place at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport was rerouted to the FedEx Office Copy and Print Center located at 550 Woods Lake Road, Greenville, SC 29607 due to complications with another assignment slated for printing. Shortly before the print job was complete, the signer we’d scheduled to meet arrived with

Notary Blog: Patronization Appreciation w/ Mr. Milian

It’s always great to be behind the lens of Mr. Anthony Milian, artisan and Brandon Fellow at the Greenville Center for Creative Arts. Whether he’s taking photographs with his camera or penning a portrait by sketch, it’s always a pleasure to be in his presence. The courtesy has always been for me to be in front of

Notary Blog: Private Signing at Memorial Medical Offices

The call rang in at 7:08 a.m.  Yes, here at GreenvilleNotary.com, we answer early calls, late calls, all hours of the day calls.  (I feel like I’m intertwined in a Dr. Seuss book.) Although traffic was rough, the challenge was met for some pretty rough and ready signers who were in a jam with documents

Notary Blog: Can Somebody Tell Me What Happened?

Okay, so when approaching the Haywood Mall this morning I discovered that I could not enter through the main food court doors. Why? I’m not quite sure, and at this very hour, I still don’t know. Even still, what I can tell you is that someone’s document was serviced today! Thanks to our Repeat Customer, who knows

Notary Blog: Signing in Seneca, SC

A signing for a 45-page document occurred at the Seneca Wal-Mart McDonald’s restaurant for a local resident.  The signing took place on the evening of Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Sometimes, just sometimes, signers don’t work 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. positions and have to rely on products and services that relate to their time frame.

Notary Blog: Not One, but Two Local Business Owners!

Notary service on behalf of local residents is our game. However, considering that we just experienced Shop Small Saturday, local notary service on behalf of two local business owners is definitely a pleasure! Thanks to Betsy Tetsch (pronounced Tay-ch) of CanvasOne.com and Spencer Stanton of Stanton Photos for calling on GreenvilleNotary.com to service their need for
