New Blog Post: Notary for Buyer-Side Package Oversight for Suntrust Bank in Easley, Anderson County

For those of you who don’t know, there is a wee little section of Easley, South Carolina that lies in Anderson County.  Many times nationwide signing companies aren’t tuned to this, so oftentimes when documents are sent, either directly to the signer or to the notary, the county of residence listed is incorrect.  Today’s assignment was no exception.  There were various affidavits present needing notarized.  Some of the affidavits within the package did NOT have the county listed. However, for those documents showing the county of Pickens, cross-outs were made. For notaries who ever have to do cross-outs, make sure you are calling the signing or title company to inquire if cross-outs on the paperwork are acceptable, although this type of cross-out usually is.

When a signer to a document makes an error, sees an item is incorrect and cross-outs ARE allowable, ensure that they are initialing just as their name appears.  For example: John Andrew Smith would initial J.A.S. or JAS.

The assignment in Easley, SC, was performed on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 off of Highway 81.  The notarizations and oversight were performed by Certified Notary Public Signing Agent Sonita  M. Leak. Thank you to Equity National of Prividence, Rhode Island for another GREAT assignment!
