Notary Blog: In Memory of Martin Luther King, Jr.

On this day of remembrance of everything that Martin Luther King, Jr. stood for in the fight for equality, we are constantly reminded of the progress we’ve made as a nation.  With progress have come shortcomings and hindrances, however, our outlook must remain a positive one.

Today, take a moment of silence to remember those who died in the fight for not just racial equality, but for all human rights…  We cannot be one-sided in our roles to be problem solvers, yet, be a part of the problem.  Each person’s individuality makes them unique.  As unique individuals, we are ALL DIFFERENT.  Keep this in mind as you go about your day and your days ahead.  Judging others and being critical of others is easy to do, it is even easy for us to speak words from our mouths that condemn.  Be mindful of your words, of your actions, for you so rightly would not like to be judged by any other man.

This time last year, featured the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, located in the Historic District of Charleston, South Carolina.  Seeing the flowers outside dedicated to those nine individuals who lost their lives was a reminder that we still have a long way to go to healing, peace and nonviolence. Each one must reach one.

Have a great and blessed day.
