Notary for Private Document at Private Location for HIPAA Authorization

A batch of private documents were delivered to a local resident, signed by the resident and signatures notarized.  The company requesting this assignment needed the package scanned and emailed on the return.  This was done not too far from the location of the signing.

Today’s assignment was a HIPAA Medical Authorization.  Sometimes there are situations where someone other than you must conduct business on your behalf. HIPAA laws were first enacted in 1996. HIPAA, an acronym for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act is just that, a check and balance system to ensure that important and precious private medical information is not disclosed without the prior consent of a party or parties.
