Notary for Unsuccessful Mortgage and Note for South Carolina Property

I was all ready to go: Eight (8) pages worth of document in hand and a signing not far from our SunTrust Bank signing a few minutes before. We’ve handled courier assignments in the past where a signer either 1) did not complete a  document fully or 2) signed incorrectly.

When accepting our eight-page assignment, there was a brief discussion with the signing company
about the documents and what needed to be executed. However, upon arrival, the discovery was made that this was no ordinary oversight. Delivery was for the signing of a pre-dated South Carolina Promissory Note and Mortgage with notarial language, partial closing documents.

Conducting assignments involving Real Property in South Carolina can be illegal, depending on the transaction involved. For more information, please refer to the Notary Public Manual for the State of South Carolina found here!

This assignment was printed and carried out by Certified Notary Signing Agent Sonita M. Leak on Tuesday, August 4, 2015.
