Notary for Complex Vehicle Title Transfer and Accompanying Promissory Note | Wal-Mart

What are the chances that a call rings into the notary service line at the very moment you find yourself doing a little shopping?  ALL THE TIME.  What are the chances that a call rings into the notary line and the parties needing service are less than a mile away? It happens, however, the peculiar thing is, the couple and meeting relative were from two different states and traveled to meet halfway here in Greenville, South Carolina (none SC residents).

The signing of documents involved a Georgia Certificate of Title between two of the parties and a Promissory note for said vehicle referencing all three individuals appearing before the notary.  There are some states that do not require a notary’s verification of identity of either seller or buyer, however to register a vehicle in the state of the buyer, notarization was REQUIRED. To find out if your state requires a notary’s signature for the transfer or sale of a vehicle, contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles, Motor Vehicles Administration, or seek assistance from an attorney. Oh, and have an excellent evening!
