Every year on October 9, 2018, we practice our school fire drills because it’s Fire Prevention Day.  Well, what about all the other days of the year?  Yes, there are certain areas of the country that are more prevalent in experiencing fires, for instance, the State of California with its forest fire vulnerability.
However, no matter where you are or what you’re doing, knowing what to do if you see yourself or your children facing fire can be the difference between catastrophe, chaos or survival. Continue reading

Notary Post: Calling all Upstate-Wide Nursing, Assisted-Living, Retirement & Hospice Center Residents and Workers!

Good Day: My name is Sonita Leak and I am the Owner of GreenvilleNotary.com. As a notary public and overall public official, I have added additional certifications onto my profession in order to aid local Upstate residents and companies alike in order to achieve document assignment success. I hold National Notary Association Ambassador status and mentor notaries nationwide.

As a notary public, I visit many nursing, rehabilitation, assisted-living and hospice care centers. Usually these visits are for the notarization of important and life-changing documents such as Powers of Attorney, Wills, Trust and Estate documents. Many of my visits result in successful completion of the task at hand, whether it be in the capacity of a notary, witness or otherwise. However, and more often, there have been instances of refusal of notarization by me due to many underlying factors.

We at GreenvilleNotary.com would like the opportunity to come to your facility to provide a free informational session on the proper protocol for achieving notarization success (for families), situations staff members should be aware of (staff and administration), and overall information EVERYONE should know!

Some of the topics will include:

Notary Protocol

Please contact us today to set up your facility’s informational session today by calling 864.275.1744

Notary for Paperwork Delivery

When performing work for a signing company, it is imperative that you conduct the initial confirmation call to the borrower or signer before going to the location of the signing. The reason you want to conduct a confirmation call is 1) to first and foremost introduce yourself to the signer, 2) to confirm that the signer is actually in the State of South Carolina and 3) to further confirm any intimate details of the signing, for instance, some assignments involve collecting paperwork, financial records and the like. So into today’s signing…

Ok, so I’m not a process server, and after this week, I definitely don’t want to EVER be one.  I actually pray for those who are in the field.  Chase people down for a living? Not for me.  I am a professional and I will keep this post as such.  Today… I did my job.  With that said, documents were printed, delivered, however, signer did not show.    All protocol was followed in today’s Simpsonville, SC case (and that’s all the information you’ll ever know about this signing attempt), however, no previous poking or prodding could scrounge up a signer. But of course, for a fee.
